WICHITA VOLUNTEERS

Bridget's Cradles operates from a headquarters in Kechi, Kansas.

The following opportunities are for volunteers who live in or near Wichita, Kansas.

Monthly Work Nights

at bridget's cradles

headquarters

On the last Wednesday evening of each month, we host a volunteer work night at Bridget's Cradles Headquarters in Kechi, KS. We rely on our local work night volunteers to help us get our cradles and memory keepsakes ready to ship to hospitals and families.

We welcome hand sewers to help us sew the finishing touches (e.g. lace and charms) onto our cradles.

We also have many tasks for non-sewers to help with, including tagging, hole-punching, and threading ribbon through our cradles.

No matter your talent, we can use your help and look forward to meeting you! Come join us for an evening of serving bereaved families together.

Wichita Home
Sewing Volunteers

If you live in or near Wichita, Kansas, have experience in hand sewing, and would like to comfort bereaved families with your time and talents, we would love to have you on our local volunteer team!

Our Wichita Home Sewing Volunteers play an important role in adding the finishing touches to our cradles (e.g., lace, ribbon, charms) before they are shipped to hospitals and families nationwide.

We are in need of reliable sewers who can help us on an ongoing basis with sewing the finishing touches on cradles. We provide all of the supplies you need to finish the cradles, and they can be completed at your home throughout the month at your own convenience.

When you're ready to exchange your cradles, you can do so at our monthly work night or one of our convenient volunteer exchange points in Wichita.

The work of your hands will be forever cherished by the families whose babies are placed lovingly inside

one of the cradles you sewed.

Wichita Home Helper Volunteers

Our Wichita Home Helper Volunteers play an important role in getting our cradles and memory keepsakes ready to be shipped to hospitals by completing administrative and non-sewing tasks from home.

We are in need of reliable volunteers who can help us on an ongoing basis with various projects. Types of tasks include, but are not limited to: adding tags to our cradles and memory keepsakes, threading ribbon through cradles, preparing hospital packets, and hole-punching cradle and memory keepsake tags. Special projects can be assigned based on a volunteer's specific interests and experience.

We provide all of the supplies you need to complete each project. Your projects can be completed at home throughout the month at your own convenience. When you're ready to turn in your project for a new one, you can do so at our monthly work night or at one of our convenient volunteer exchange points in Wichita.

The work of your hands will be forever cherished by the families and hospital staff who will be directly impacted by your volunteer service!

Wichita Community
Service Groups

We are always looking for groups of local volunteers to help with special projects, administrative tasks, and more. If your company, organization, church group, Bible study or mom's group, sports team, or school/college group is looking for a rewarding service project, we'd love to have you join us at our headquarters!

Community service group projects can be scheduled on a weekday, evening, or weekend that is convenient

for your group. Opportunities and availability will depend on our organization's need, but we'll provide you with a special project that can be completed during your scheduled community service group time.

We look forward to meeting your group!
