Send Your Own Materials

If you would rather purchase a donation of materials from your local store(s), please follow the instructions below for selecting and sending our most-needed and preferred items and supplies.

review our current needs

Below is an overview of our most-needed and preferred materials.

We are unable to accept items that are not on this list. Please contact us if you have something in mind that is not on our list to ask if the item would be useful to us before sending it to us.

We reserve the right to refuse any donations that cannot be used or do not meet our quality standards below.

Purchase items

Most of the materials we use for finishing our cradles (lace/trim/ribbon, charms, appliqués) can be found at Hobby Lobby, JoAnns, Michael's, or a local craft store.

You are more than welcome to buy items online from stores/websites of your choice, then compile a box to send to us.

We appreciate your generosity and look forward to receiving the items you chose!

Mail your donation

Please neatly arrange supplies in your box and mail them to:

Bridget's Cradles

PO Box 316

Kechi, KS 67067

Be sure to include your contact information (Full Name, Address, Email) inside of your box so that we know who the items came from and can acknowledge your generous donation. Thank you!

Not Needed:
yarn donations

Although it may seem intuitive that our greatest material need for the cradles would be yarn, we actually do not need or accept yarn donations.

Our knitting and crocheting volunteers across the country use their own yarn to create their cradles before shipping them to us for our volunteers to complete the finishing touches and distribute them to hospitals. We do not use yarn at our headquarters and are unable to ship yarn to our volunteers. Thank you for your understanding!

quality standards

We cannot accept old, outdated, discolored, yellowed, stained, or small scraps of leftover materials. We're also unable to use ribbon, charms, or embellishments that may be inappropriate for families grieving the loss of a baby (bright bold/colors, baby themed toys and gear, etc)

We prefer new or like-new condition in original packaging. Used items must meet our quality standards and be neatly arranged. Please review our specifications below for each category.
