Hope gathering faq

Is there a cost for attending a Hope Gathering?

Create & Remember - Depending on the craft, there may be a registration fee. This fee is generally paid directly to the craft business who is supplying the materials and service. Each Create & Remember event cost will vary depending on the craft, materials needed, and the business we are partnering with. We attempt to keep these costs as low as possible. Details for payment are provided over email after you've signed up. Payment is expected prior to the event date. Support & Serve - These gatherings are always free to attend.

Who can attend Hope Gatherings?

Hope Gatherings are intended for bereaved mothers who have lost a baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. We have specifically designed this ministry for women who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss in recent years. Please read the next question for more information.

Will food be provided?

Light snacks and desserts will be provided at Create & Remember and Support & Serve gatherings. However, you should plan to eat dinner beforehand because full meals are not provided.

Can I bring a friend or family member? Can I bring my child?

These gatherings are not for bereaved fathers, grandparents, or other family members or friends. To be respectful and sensitive to women fresh in grief of losing a baby, we ask that mothers do not bring infants or other children to the gatherings. We desire for Hope Gatherings to be an intimate gathering of women who have experienced the same heartbreaking experience of losing a baby. We must limit who can attend so that we can create a safe place for bereaved mothers to be vulnerable. Real grieving and true healing are possible within the confines of a safe environment and trustworthy community. We thank you for your understanding of this policy and for respecting the grief of the bereaved mothers who attend our events.

Do I have to attend all of the events to participate?

No! You are welcome to attend any Hope Gathering that you are able to, whether it be one, some, or all! Create & Remember events are tailored around different craft projects, therefore, come to any of the ones that interest you and will be helpful in your healing journey! Support & Serve gatherings are more characteristic of a traditional support group. We hope to have a more consistent community of women attend these events on a regular basis. However, you are not required to attend every single one in order to participate. We will gladly welcome you whenever you are available to come!
