VOLUNTEER

Knit or Crochet

Nationwide

Bridget's Cradles knitting and crocheting volunteers make a direct and meaningful impact in providing comfort to bereaved families across the United States. Our knitting and crocheting team is comprised of volunteers from across the country who donate their time and talents to make cradles for our organization.

We will distribute your cradles where they are needed most, so that each cradle you knit or crochet will be used by a grieving family to hold their precious baby in Heaven in their moment of need. We have donated to over 1,000 hospitals in all 50 states already, and continue to expand to more hospitals each week.

If you are an experienced knitter or crocheter in the United States, and have a heart for serving bereaved families, we'd be honored to welcome you to our team!

As a valued volunteer on our team, we'll regularly keep you up-to-date on how your time and talents are making a difference, and you will have the opportunity to connect and find community with our nationwide team of knitting and crocheting volunteers.

Wichita Volunteers

Wichita, KS

In addition to our nationwide team of knitting and crocheting volunteers, our organization's mission is made possible by the kind hearts and hands of our local community. Our Wichita volunteers play an integral role in getting our cradles and memory keepsakes ready to be shipped to our hospital recipients.

There are many ways you can get involved! You can volunteer at our headquarters or from the comfort of your own home! Read below to learn more about local opportunities to serve with Bridget's Cradles:

monthly Work nights

Each month we host a volunteer work night at our headquarters where we gather our local volunteers to sew cradles and complete important non-sewing tasks.

LOCAL HOME SEWERS

These volunteers take a set number of cradles home each month to hand sew the finishing touches (e.g., lace, ribbon, charms) at their own convenience.

LOCAL HOME HELPERS

These volunteers take home non-sewing projects each month to complete at their own convenience (e.g., tagging cradles or memory keepsakes, threading ribbon, and other important administrative tasks).

COMMUNITY SERVICE GROUPS

We also have opportunities for companies, organizations, church groups, women's groups, and school/college groups who would like to schedule their own community service group project at our headquarters.

A local organization with a nationwide impact!

As a member of our Wichita volunteer team, you will play an important role in our daily and monthly organizational operations. Your service will allow us to reach bereaved families across the country with the comfort of a cradle. You'll have the chance to connect and find fellowship with other volunteers of our team as we serve bereaved families together.
